Margara has devoted her life to advocating for the well-being of children and adults with disabilities, driven by a deep passion for research and education. Inspired by her own personal experience with sport injuries and witnessing firsthand the therapeutic impact of a service dog, she founded Owen Care in 2010 in Mexico City.
Over the years, Margara worked tirelessly to establish a top-tier training school for service dogs, carefully selecting a team that shares her passion, compassion, and high standards. Collaborating with a leading trainer in the industry, they assembled a group of individuals who are not only passionate about their work with service dogs but also live by and fully understand Owen Care's mission and vision.
In the span of 14 years, Owen Care has been a beacon for individuals and families in need of a service dog including many families across the United States. Margara has had the privilege of connecting with remarkable people all over the US, witnessing the profound impact of Owen's service dogs and fostering a sense of extended family. She has encountered selfless service men and women who not only assisted her many times, but some were also an integral part of the families benefiting from service dogs.
Driven by a desire to give back, Margara decided to extend her reach by establishing Owen Care USA, dedicated to providing service dogs free of charge to Veterans and First Responders with mobility impairments. Her belief in paying forward the blessings, and opportunities she has received is evident in this initiative, as she opens her heart and expertise to those who tirelessly sacrifice their lives for the well-being of others.
The overarching goal of Owen Care USA is to bring solace, support, and hope, aiming to enhance the lives of individuals facing challenges. Margara's commitment to core values shines through every aspect of her work, ensuring that integrity, morals, and high standards permeate both the internal dynamics of her team and every interaction with the people she has the privilege to serve.
